Jupiter work is coastal work. Salt air, blowing sand, and pool chemistry attack a floor from three directions, and the coating spec has to answer all three.
Jupiter sits close enough to the water that salt drives the specification. As an epoxy flooring contractor working the northern Palm Beach County coast, we choose harder, UV-stable topcoats here because salt is abrasive as well as corrosive, and a soft finish hazes within two seasons of daily wet tires.
The work splits fairly evenly between garage floor epoxy inside and pool deck coatings outside. Abacoa and Egret Landing garages tend to be straightforward flake installs; the Intracoastal and Jupiter Inlet properties usually involve a lanai, a patio, or a full pool surround alongside the garage.
We are based in Port St. Lucie and run Jupiter as a regular route, roughly 45 minutes each way. Estimates are free, on site, and include a moisture reading plus an honest assessment of whatever coating is already on the slab.
Coastal installs get a harder polyaspartic topcoat that resists the constant scouring of salt-laden grit tracked in off the road.
Older Jupiter garages frequently carry a previous kit. Full mechanical removal is standard. We do not coat over someone else's peeling product.
Pool deck texture is dialed per job so the surface is slip resistant wet without feeling like sandpaper to kids running out of the water.

Salt contamination is the wildcard in Jupiter. A slab that has spent twenty years near the Intracoastal can carry surface salts that interfere with adhesion, so grinding is followed by a thorough vacuum and, where needed, a wash and re-profile before priming.
Older east-side homes also bring cracking and previous coating layers. We grind the old system completely off, chase and fill the cracks, rebuild any spalled edges, then take the whole floor to a consistent diamond-ground profile.
Skipping this on a coastal slab is how a floor looks perfect in October and lifts at the apron by the following summer. Professional epoxy installation is mostly preparation, and on the coast that is even more true.
Jupiter's outdoor living space is the main event. Textured, UV-stable patio floor coatings replace slick, stained pool deck concrete with a surface that drains, grips underfoot, and holds its color through direct afternoon sun and pool chemistry.
